In July 2017, Jonn Ripo and his team at Tekton Builders undertook a major renovation and extension of our home in rural Te Puke.  We were impressed with the quality of Jonn’s workmanship and his attention to detail.  Communication was excellent throughout the project and Jonn was easy to work with and get along with.  His organisation of and liaison with contractors, subbies, architect etc ensured that the project ran as smoothly as possible.  We are thrilled with the end result and have since used Tekton Builders on a few smaller projects. 

I engaged Jonn Ripo to project manage, remodel and renovate our kitchen, bathroom, and create an outdoor courtyard in Northcote Point, Auckland.  I engaged Jonn after he came highly recommended by a friend, and I was not disappointed; he worked efficiently, accurately, professionally and with an extremely high level of workmanship and communication, nothing seemed too difficult for him.  This was the first house I had renovated and Jonn provided me with much needed advice and ideas.  He has a very sound knowledge of design and structure, and the results were amazing.  Jonn has excellent contacts in the industry.  All of the other tradesmen we engaged on the project were through his recommendation, and they were as efficient and reliable as him.  I would not hesitate to use Jonn again, I just wish he would come back to Auckland so we could use him again!

In April 2017 we engaged Jonn Ripo of Tekton Builders to essentially rebuild our upstairs interior balcony. The job required unforeseen remedial work which Jonn completed to a high standard. He kept us informed throughout with regular communications, to ensure maximum efficiency. Jonn’s attention to detail was impressive and his calm approach belied the difficulties incurred, including working ‘around’ a cyclone!

We hired Jonn to build our architecturally designed home in Whangaparaoa.  Jonn’s knowledge, attention to detail, and work ethic was exceptional.  His patience (during which was quite a stressful period for us) was very much appreciated.  He offered great advice in making our home more functional and never complained when there were last minute changes. I can’t thank Jonn enough for the beautiful home he built our family and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services.

I approached Jonn  Ripo from Tekton Builders regarding some major renovation work prior to Christmas, 2018, asking that the work be carried out in my absence in January.
Understandably I had reservations about being away when the work was being done.  They proved unfounded.
Jonn and his crew did all that I had asked and more. I was regularly updated and the job was completed on time and well within budget.
I found Jonn’s approach personable, yet totally professional at all times and Tekton’s work without fault.
